Interclub Duathlon

Thank you to everybody who came yesterday and well done to all of the children who competed. It was a lovely afternoon full of sportsmanship, hard racing and laughter. We celebrate all successes of the children, whether that is first place, tenth place, fiftieth place, a Personal Best, a Personal Worst but they tried their hardest…..whatever the outcome, we are proud of them all! The biggest thing that shone through […]

Black Country Duathlon

This weekend (15th April) saw the running of the Black Country Triathletes Duathlon at the Stourport Sports Club where the Tri Energy Kids train each week. The sun shone during the whole event but a stiff breeze made for tricky running and cycling conditions. The Tri Energy Kids were out in force at this event with 10 of the children taking on the competition. They really stuck together as a […]

Sandwell Aquathlon

A huge thank you to Derren (Jenson’s Dad) for sending in this fabulous race report from the Sandwell Aquathlon.  Well done to all who took part! Sandwell Aquathlon was another well organised event. Following on from their recent exploits at the Wombourne Aquathlon; Dan, Bobby, Sammy and Jenson were joined by Charlie at Sandwell. The course was……..hilly to say the least.  Dan described it as either going uphill or downhill […]

Wombourne Aquathlon

Saturday saw four of our kids take part in the Wombourne Aquathlon.  We always love hearing how the kids get on so were particularly excited to receive this race report from Derren (Jensons’s Dad) who tells us a little more about the day. “The event was very professional and very well organised with the marshals doing a great job of encouraging the kids, particularly the little ones who all looked […]

Santa Dash Race Report

Yesterday, on a rather mild December morning, we gathered at Wyre Forest for our second ever Santa Dash. The course, which is just shy of a mile, takes in it’s fair share of hills and mud and this year we had 14 runners taking part – including the kids, dads, mums and this year – a grandad! It was the dads race that was most fiercely contested this year with […]

Our Training Sessions

Our Training Sessions

Ever wondered what we get up to every hour on a Monday night? Well our sessions are so varied that we find it hard to remember too! But a typical session looks something like this…. To warm up the children go whizzing off round the cycle track. They love this independence of not having to ride by an adult and they chat and laugh away with their friends as they […]

Dirt Run in the Dark

Well done to Dan, Ozzy, Jenson and Lucas who all ran the Dirt Run in the dark at Top Barn last weekend.  The race started at 6pm and involved a 3km loop in the pitch black! To help them to navigate they needed a good head torch (or two!) and a good sense of direction. All the children made it back to the finish line safe and sound with Dan […]

Amazing Amies

Tri Energy Kids continue to race with impressive form. First up were brothers Sam & Jacob Amies who raced in the Shrewsbury Junior Duathlon on Sunday in sweltering heat.  Sam, the younger of the two, took on the 400m run, 700m bike and 200m run whilst 10 year old Jacob tackled the longer distances of a 1.2km run, 1.6k bike and 400m run.  Both boys, who are still in their […]
